FINANCE FOR IMPACT ANNOUNCES THE NOMINATION OF TWO BOARD MEMBERS TO SUPPORT WORK IN FINANCIAL INCLUSION AND CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

PARIS, July 6th, 2017. FINANCE FOR IMPACT today announced that two new members are to join its executive team as Advisors to provide strategic direction and guidance for developing new services and solutions.
“These appointments provide additional experience and expertise to the organization, complementing a strong group of existing executives,” said Thierry Senechal, Managing Director of FINANCE FOR IMPACT. “The knowledge and networks of our new Advisors will support strategic initiatives and strengthen the organization’s work within the area of financial inclusion, corporate & social responsibility and the environment. As the organization plans a strong development in these areas in 2017-2018, we are tremendously excited that we will benefit from the added capabilities these new Advisors bring.”
The new Advisors are: Dr. Anne-Gwenn Alexandre: During her career, Anne-Gwenn has developed extensive experience managing and protecting corporate image and reputation. She has led strategic projects in the areas of corporate & social responsibility and the environmental with leading companies in various industries (oil, pharmaceutical, and insurance). Recently, she has worked with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and its Global Business and Biodiversity Program (GBBP). Since 2009, Dr. Alexandre has regularly taught courses on management of environmental risks and sustainable development. Dr. Alexandre earned degrees in International Business Law (M.A.) and Business Law (LL.M.). She received a Ph.D. in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.
Lauren Shields: Lauren works for the non-profit business network BSR partnering to create a more just and sustainable world. Lauren is part of the management team for HERproject – BSR’s women’s empowerment workplace program that brings together global brands, their suppliers, and local NGOs to support women workers in global supply chains through interventions on health, finance, and gender equality. With a strong focus on inclusive growth, she has led research projects on value chain development and women’s empowerment in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Vietnam. Lauren holds an M.A. in Public Affairs from Sciences Po and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University.
